Toolbox: Marketing and Branding
There must be something that brands such as Starbucks, Apple, Innocent Drinks
or Coca-Cola are doing to attract and maintain a faithful client base. Why
do we choose to buy this instead of that, even if the end product would
basically be the same? In this ToolBox session we will look at marketing
and branding from the perspective of a small enterprise. This
session focuses on communication and branding:
- What a brand is and how to create one
- How to find the essence of your brand and what its different facets are
- How to communicate your brand
- What to do yourself and where to outsource services
Business Toolbox Sessions take you on a journey
of exploration and business design. Every three weeks, a new theme is introduced
and worked on, and you will discover new business tools which you can directly
apply to your growing business.
The session is facilitated by Timo Karjalainen. The
event is organised in collaboration with Innovation
Central.

Organisational Learning Cafe

a brochure here (pdf)
An entrepreneur needs to continuously keep learning and create a meaningful
structure for the company to thrive. Organisational learning has been
considered as a highly attractive proposition for entrepreneurs and SMEs
as a competitive strategy forward. This methodology, more commonly known
in the context of big companies, has become one of the leading edge approaches
for an organisation of any size or sector.
In this Café, we will explore what a learning organisation is and
how we can embed these principles in our work to create not only more
competitive companies, but ultimately better and more meaningful places
for ourselves and our staff to work at.
The focus of the Café is on organisational
learning as a strategy:
- What is a learning organisation and why would I want to create one?
- What are the structures that shape my actions b and those of my company?
- How to understand and manage change and have the power to change our
own reality
The event is part of the LearningHouse members’ monthly Cafe-style
event series. We offer a free taster (£5 voluntary donation) for
this event to come and experience what the membership is about. There
are a limited number of places available. To book your place, please send
an email with your full address and contact details to info@learninghouse.biz
To best capture the knowledge of the group and
to enjoy an afternoon in an informal atmosphere, the event is organised
using an innovative approach called World Café. World Café
Conversations are an intentional way to create a living network of conversation
around questions that matter. A Café Conversation is a creative
process for leading collaborative dialogue, sharing knowledge and creating
possibilities for action in groups of all sizes.

Facilitated by Eliza Hochman and and Alexia
Everett-Kerrigan. The event is organised in collaboration with Innovation
Central.
Thursday,
27th of March, 2pm-4pm
Toolbox: Personal Development
This session focuses on the development of the most important resource
of our company – ourselves. We will dive deeper into the concept
of ‘flow’ and explore how to achieve happiness and the feeling
of flow in work and life. To take these concepts to a more practical level,
we will turn personal purpose and vision into tangible objectives and
create a Strategic Learning Contract to support our development.
The focus of the event is on Personal Development:
- What is flow and how do I achieve that state at work and life?
- What are my personal values, purpose and vision?
- How do I create a learning and development plan to achieve my objectives?
