Clients and Projects

We have worked with organisations from all sectors including the Ministry of Education Finland, Café Direct Plc, Nokia Mobile Phones, London Development Agency and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).

Case Study: Business Support for Start-up Entrepreneurs
LearningHouse was commissioned by London Borough of Islington and the Arsenal Regeneration Team to support start-up entrepreneurs in Islington and Camden. The 3-month programme 'Just an Idea' was delivered twice in 2005 and 2006 and was both times a great success.

"It inspired me to structure and plan the making and progress of my business in a more creative way. It also gave me insight into different ways of entering a market and identifying a niche where my business needn't be in direct competition with others." - Kitty Andreson, Creative Tours

Case Study: Developing Managament and Leadership Skills
'Walking the Talk (a 4-month programme)' and 'Stepping Up' (an introductory course) formed together an extensive training project with a specific focus on the creative industries in Islington and Camden. The programme was organised in collaboration with LearningHouse and the Employability unit at London Metropolitan University. It was funded by the London Development Agency and the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and supported by Islington Council.

Case Study: Facilitating Regional Development and Regeneration
About 40 people across Yorkshire and The Humber from procurement and regeneration convened to explore how to deliver real best value to the region and how to support each other in taking action within and across councils.

The workshop was organised in a participative fashion at Leeds Town Hall. The venue was transformed into a ‘World Café’ and the agenda was facilitated using this method based on conversations and meaningful questions. The event was a co-production with K2A- Knowledge to Action.
